U.P. Credit Cooperative Profile

The U.P. Credit Cooperative (UPCC) was originally organized by fifteen (15) incorporators with an authorized capital of Php 30,000.00, subscribed capital of Php 6,000.00 and paid-up capital of Php 1,500.00 on April 21, 1949 and registered as U.P. Credit Union at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on August 17, 1949.

The UPCC is a registered organization of faculty members, Research and Professional Staff (REPS) and administrative staff of the University of the Philippines Diliman (UPD), University of the Philippines Baguio UPB), and University of the Philippines Manila (UPM), including the Philippine General Hospital (PGH), the University of the Philippines System and its Constituent Units (CUs); retired regular members who decide to continue their membership; employees of offices attached to UP Diliman; employees of UPCC; employees of teaching, research and training institutions in the area of operations of the UPCC at UP Campus Diliman, who have a Board approved MOU relative to payroll deductions of their members’ contributions, loans, and other financial obligations to UPCC; and those existing members at the time of amendment of the By-Laws of UPCC.

The UPCC has an estimated total assets of Php636 million as of December 2023 with a growing number of around 3,518 members.
